A Sense of Home

Disaster Relief for Survivors of LA Fires is a program under A Sense of Home dedicated to helping individuals and families recover after losing everything to wildfires in Los Angeles County by providing essential furnishings and home goods to help restore not only the physical home, but the hope and dignity needed to start again.

AIA Pasadena & Foothill Chapter

Hosts free “Ask an Architect” one-on-one consultations where survivors can get proposal reviews, rebuild guidance, and expert input on fire-resilient design strategies and permitting.

Alliance for Children's Rights

Supporting short and long-term needs of foster youth, youth on probation, or caregivers or guardians of children with wraparound services such as medical or mental health care, replacing important documents, or navigating job or childcare loss.

Altadena Collective

The collective is primarily a community organization to assist residents with architectural design services available. Their first initiative has been to help the Janes Village community rebuild their stylized English Cottage style homes.

Altadena One-Stop Permit Center

LA County is hosting One-Stop Permit Centers for Eaton fire burn areas to help guide residents through the rebuilding process, answer any questions they have and connect them with each of the building and planning departments responsible for their area. Walk-In Hours are available Monday – Friday: 8:00AM – 4:30PM and Rebuild Consultation Appointments are available Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM or Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Altadena Rebuild Coalition

This coalition helps Altadena residents navigate fire recovery with free design support, vetted rebuild plans, and community workshops focused on preserving the area’s diverse culture and generational wealth.

Angeles Recovery Collective (ARC)

The Angeles Recovery Collective is a coalition of architects, designers, and builders dedicated to helping communities rebuild after wildfires. We provide scalable housing solutions and recovery support through sustainable design, strategic partnerships, and expert guidance ensuring safe resilient homes for those in need.

Baby2Baby

Distributing emergency supplies to vulnerable children and families affected by the fires.

Beacon Housing

Beacon Housing provides safe and low-cost accommodation options and education-centered supportive services, and by advancing innovative and collaborative affordable housing solutions.

CAMP (Community Animal Wildfire Project)

Offering free clinics for wildfire affected animals, such as urgent medical needs, exams for non-emergency condtions, medication refills, vaccinations and parasite prevention, routine care, and free pet food & supplies. Check out https://www.campla.org/wildfire-relief to see Mobile Vax Clinics schedule. 

CORE's Remediation Assistance

Links to a Google Form, hosted by CORE, for Altadena and Pasadena renters and homeowners whose homes have been affected by the Eaton Fire from smoke and/or ash damage.  Our goal is to help these communities connect with the remediation assistance they need. These services are free.

FEMA Disaster Recovery Center

FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) are accessible facilities and mobile offices you can visit to learn more about FEMA and other disaster assistance programs. You may also visit to ask questions about your case. It is open Monday-Friday 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 9 AM – 4 PM.

Housing Counselors can help with a personalized action plan to overcome your housing-related challenges such as help managing bills or disaster-recovery help including FEMA and insurance claims/denials and other support. 

Foothill Flourish

This program, connected to Foothill Family, is offering 10 free therapy sessions to Eaton fire survivors.

Friends In Deed

Providing critical resources, distributing essentials goods, and offering community support to those most vulnerable.

LA Fires 2025 Clean up and Repair Assistance

Services are free of cost to those who are severely under-insured or have no insurance at all.

Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles

LAFLA can help with legal issues arising from disasters like the 2025 LA wildfires, including FEMA applications and appeals, tenant and homeowner issues, and consumer relief.

OneButton

OneButton is a home technology and lighting design company that specializes in intuitive smart home systems. While they don’t offer architectural services, they provide free rebuild consultations to connect wildfire survivors with a trusted network of architects, builders, and craftspeople.

Pasadena Educational Foundation (PEF)

PEF is assisting PUSD families and staff who have been displaced or seriously impacted by the Eaton Fire.

Pasadena Humane Society

Pasadena Humane serves as a critical lifeline for pets impacted by the Eaton Fire in the Altadena, Pasadena and surrounding areas. Provides care and resources to support our community through continuing to provide emergency boarding for lost pets whose families have been evacuated, free pet food and supply pickup to affected pet owners in the community daily from 10am to 5pm, and setting up feeding stations for community cats in the Altadena and Pasadena fire zone areas.

Pasadena Senior Center

Providing services and support for older adults who previously attended the Altadena Senior Center.

Pathways

Pathways LA offers free childcare referrals across Metro LA, connecting families with programs that align with their specific needs. For families facing financial hardship, Pathways can provide payment assistance that may cover a portion or all childcare expenses, directly reimbursed to the provider. Beyond childcare, Pathways LA provides community referrals for housing, food, crisis services, mental health support, and medical care. Through their Family Engagement Program, they also offer trauma-informed care training and parent education, ensuring families are equipped to navigate these challenging times with resilience.

Rebuild Altadena

Design and construction firm (founded by an Altadena resident who also lost his home in the Eaton Fire) providing 1:1 rebuilding consultations to neighbors. 

SAMHSA Disaster Distress Helpline

Subtance Abuse and Mental Health Services Disaster Distress Helpline is the first national hotline dedicated to providing year-round disaster crisis counseling. This toll-free, multilingual, crisis support service is available 24/7 to all residents in the U.S. and its territories who are experiencing emotional distress related to natural or human-caused disasters.

SGV Habitat for Humanity

SGV Habitat for Humanity is here to support those impacted by the Eaton fire, offering assistance to repair and rebuild homes, restore stability, and help families recover. We will prioritize support for low-income households that are uninsured, underinsured, or most vulnerable.

Shepherd's Door

Provides domestic violence support services for survivors experiencing increased family violence due to displacement.

Stars Wellness Center

Counseling services for children, teens, and families will be offered at no cost to support trauma recovery, nervous system regulation, parenting, and more. Drop-In Center providing access to free household supplies, hygiene products, gift cards for grocery stores, gas, and school supplies, as well as assistance with Fire application support, including help with completing fire relief forms, insurance claims, and other applications every Tuesday and Thursday from 2-5:30pm. Food distribution with weekly nutritious produce boxes including fresh fruits and vegetables, protein, milk, and pantry staples like rice and beans.

The Feel Well

Offers mental health services, therapy, and trauma support for families affected by disasters.

The Foothill Catalog Foundation

A local nonprofit providing a collection of pre-approved home designs for displaced residents to affordably and expeditiously rebuild, while collectively retaining our community identity and local architectural character.

The Legacy Land Project

Request aid and connect with the resources you need for recovery, such as clothing, electronics, emotional and mental health support, financial support, food & water, household items, housing, toiletries & essentials, or transportation. 

Tracy A. Stone Architect

Offers free feasibility studies and code analysis for properties affected by the 2025 Eaton and Palisades fires. Can also assist with full rebuild design services if needed.

USC's LA Wildfire Soil Testing

USC’s CLEAN is a free program testing soil for lead levels in wildfire-affected areas. Residents can collect samples and drop them at local boxes or mail them to USC’s lab for analysis—at no cost.

United Policyholders

United Policyholders is providing guidance and support to impacted households and small business owners through their Roadmap to Recovery program, the events, clinics and webinars we are hosting and participating in, the publications they offer free of charge, and their partnerships with government agencies and other non-profits.

YWCA of San Gabriel Valley

YWCA San Gabriel Valley is actively working to provide supplies, financial assistance, case management and other vital resources to impacted individuals and families.

Young & Healthy

Free play-based family therapy for families affected by the fires with a licensed therapist. They also provide free medical, dental and mental healthcare through  volunteer doctors, help families with insurance enrollment and navigation, and provide referrals to local services for young children and families impacted by the fires.
